I'm an aunt to my 9th niece!!!

I am so proud to announce the birth of my 9th niece Graciela Mia to the proud parents of Melyssa and Adam weighing in at 7lbs 2oz and 19 inch long. I am kind of bummed that I wasnt able to keep up with my promise that I was going to be there but Melyssa does understand. Hopefully I can get out there in the next few weeks to see the bundle of joy and help my sister out as well since she had a c-section. It was really an emotionally day for me and I kind of broke down talking to my youngest sister today. She called it getting my "friend" soon which I totally agree but after talking with her I kind of figured out what was wrong. My dad wasnt here to see this moment and I cried for Melyssa. It was like bittersweet. All I could think about was the fact that my children as well as my youngest sister got to meet our dad and Graciela won't. After having time to ponder on it I realize that we should all count our blessings and thank God for the family that is with us now. In saying that I am glad that my mom is coming home soon. I have really missed her presence as well. Can't imagine right now what I would do without her.
