I love my sister, Tricia

Today I woke with the urge not to work. Yes I know...we all get that urge..but today I really didn't want to go in and like my job. I got the kids ready with Artie to go to school and babysitter so I can actually rest. My stomach has been feeling queasy for the past two days with a little headache to go with it. Donovan of course wanted to stay home with me but I bribed him by telling him that when I went to pick him up from school today that I was going to take him to the mall. So he went.

As I was laying down on my bed, my cell phone rang and it was my lil sister, Tricia. She has been very concerned over me for the last few days and I really appreciated her compassionate heart (I know where she gets it from, Dad). In my last blog I realized what has been bothering me and I told her to read it. But we got into a good conversation and I have come to realize that we are both in the same boat emotionally and spiritually. I can honestly say that when she tells me something that is bothering her or going on that I know exactly how she feels. That is something you don't find a lot even in siblings, since they tend to have their own agendas. But I have found a common bond with her that has made me feel comfortable and be able to talk with her freely without feeling judged cause she knows exactly what I am talking about.

I can't wait to be able to hang out and just be "little" sisters again like when we were growing up. We always seem to go to that place when we get together and I love that aspect about our relationship. Even if our kids are running around causing havoc we just take the time to act like sisters growing up in our family home. I am really excited to be able to make plans to go down to Miami and visit my other sister with Tricia and just let our hair down and spend quality time with each other. We haven't been together like that in a long time.
